TOP TEN REFLECTIONS
BOB KING
Remembrances by Kathy
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Bob was so kind hearted ~ a “shirt off his back” kind of guy ~ always there when you needed him.
- But he was also tough, relentless and he fought hard when necessary.
- Bob was passionate about any new business he started or career he was involved in – especially Monroe Business Machines (top salesman multiple times), Coyne Laundries (Vice President), Budget Restroom Systems (Owner/President) and when he retired from Diamond Pet Foods at the end of 2010, after 10 years there, sadly a little bit of the fire went out in him.
- Bob loved my spaghetti sauce & turkey dinners & brownies & cookies!
- He was generous and charitable-the world is a better place because he was in it.
- He loved nature, wildlife, fishing for Stripers with Chip & Eileen and of course, his Springers. I lost count of how many we’ve enjoyed over the past 36 years. Field Trials and his businesses/careers were his only hobbies – both took up so much of his time. But this made him happy and fulfilled.
- Bob felt each new day was a gift. He had the most positive attitude. Get up early and head to Dunkin Donuts in Freetown. The staff would have our order ready and waiting for us! He’d bring the Boston Herald newspaper and go right to the sports section to read up on the Patriots. (Our dog, Brady, is named after Tom).
- He was an honest man and a loyal friend. His smile and his enthusiasm were contagious.
- He cherished his small family and circle of friends. Bob was so happy to be included in all those Christmas Eve celebrations at Jim & Kathleen’s, as well as the many “Thrilling Thursday” adventures with Carol & Glenn. He looked forward to each breakfast outing with Donna because she made his day so special.
- Bob loved me so very much. We were extremely close and our love is deep. He was my special gift from God and for him I am eternally grateful.
