Robert Rapoza Obituary
Robert J.("RAP") Rapoza 75, of New Bedford passed away on Sunday morning, peacefully at Fall River Health Care, after a very long, courageous battle.
He was the beloved husband of Sharon A. (Enos) Rapoza.
Born in New Bedford he was the son of the late Manuel Rapoza and Lilianne (Bureau) Rapoza. Robert was the loving and devoted father of his two daughters; Deborah Dulude of Fairhaven and Cheryl Sears of New Bedford. He is survived by his brother; Paul Rapoza and his wife Sandra of Cape Cod and his sister; Lucy Ann Bureau of Boston. Robert was also the loving grandfather of his 4 grandchildren; Erika Dulude, Noelle Dulude, Krista Sears and the late Zachery Sears. He also had one great grandchild; Andrew Sears. Robert is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert was a noteable CPA, he worked for years as a self employed accoutant for numerous firms. He also taught accounting at Kinyon Campbell, Fisher College, and Newbury College, just to name a couple, and he was quite the educator. He loved to play tennis and Co-Founded Whaling City Tennis Association in New Bedford. He was also a memberof various business organizations including the Chamber of Commerce.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Memorial Mass to be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave. New Bedford, Ma. 02745
