Royal Soucy Obituary
Royal J.Soucy 80, of Fall River passed away on Sunday August 4, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
He was the beloved companion for 10 years to Jean Souza.
Born in Fairhaven, Ma he was the son of the late Emile Sousy and the late Odina (Moreau) Soucy.
Royal was predeceased by his wife, the late Julliette E. (Gauthier) Soucy and his son the late Ronald Roland Soucy. Royal is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Roland was true maintenance man, he worked for 18.5 years for Goodyear Rubber Company, he also worked in maintenance for the Greek Orthodox Church in New Bedford and also in maintenance for the New Bedford School Dept. He really enjoyed going out and about on his scooter and was affectionately know as the "scooter man" by many. He also could do what ever he wanted to do with bungee cords and duct tape..He also had a soft spot, for their beloved cat Gypsy.
Royal's Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 am on August 24, 2019, to be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford, Ma 02745. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial to follow the Mass, in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 559 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford, Ma 02745
