Russell Dale Brown

Russell D. Brown 79, of New Bedford passed away on Monday June 15, 2026, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was the beloved husband of Bernadette (Barrows) Brown for the last 61 years.

Born in Acushnet, Ma he was the son of the late Alvin Dale Brown Jr and the late Rosalee (Potkay) Brown.

Russell worked for years as an Electrician for Raytheon Co. He liked to play video games; and he liked to do crossword puzzles. He enjoyed watching old movies, he loved eating food, and he loved the company of his dogs. He also really loved listening to music and of course he adored his cherished Road Runner.

Russell is survived by his lovely wife, Bernadette, his daughter Nanette Spoor and her husband Rick of Fairhaven. His siblings; Steven Paul Brown, David Richard Brown, Michael Timothy Brown, Sandra Christine Brown and Kathleen Rose Moreau. Russell was also the proud grandfather of his 1 grandchild.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a gathering for Russell on Tuesday June 30, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm to be held at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road (Rt 18) East Freetown, Ma 02717
