Ruth K. (Kyser) Emery, 87, of Middleboro, passed away onThursday January 22, 2015, at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleboro.
Born in Rockland, Mass. and resided in Hanover, Mass., she was the beloved daughter of the late Harvey J. Kyser and Esther P. (Drake) Kyser.
Ruth is survived by her children, three daughters; Cheryl "Shelly" Herzig and her husband Ken of New York, Carol "Cookie" Bower of Middleboro and her loving caregivers, her daughter Debra "Debbie" and son in law, Douglas Thurman of Middleboro, and a lifelong dearly loved friend/sister-in-law Mary Kyser of CT., Ruth was predeceased by all of her siblings, four brothers; Harvey Jr., Birton, George and Robert and her three sisters; Marion, Lynn and Eleanor. Ruth was also the proud grandmother of her 5 grandchildren; Bonni Akers, Patrick Buccella, Melissa Murphy, Sandra Towers and Justin Hardy. She also has 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth worked as an asssembly worker for the Foxboro Company and Raytheon. She loved to be busy with her hands, knitting and crocheting. Ruth loved people and animals and she was a very kind soul. She enjoyed music and feeding the birds, she loved flowers and the color yellow, but Ruth especially loved driving......everywhere. Ruth was known for her great sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to have met her.
Ruth's services will be held in the springtime, when the yellow daffodils are in bloom.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you may make a donation to the charity of your choice in Ruth's memory.
Ruthie Emery's funeral arrangements are under the loving direction of Christine.
