Sandra Davenport, age 69, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Sandra was born on January 26, 1947 and was raised by her parents, Noella and Arthur Couto.
In the fall of 1963, Sandra met the love of her life, Henry Davenport. They were married on September 5, 1964 and they’ve been inseparable since then. Sandra raised a wonderful family with Henry. They have a daughter, Robin Kolbeck, and three sons, Lance Davenport, Chip Davenport, and Ryan Davenport. She always made sure that her house was filled with happiness and love. Sandra welcomed her son-in-law, Robert Kolbeck, and three daughter-in-laws, Rebecca Davenport, Marsha Metivier, and Cheryl Davenport, into the family and treated them as her own.
Sandra is the devoted grandmother of Sara Kolbeck, Laura Kolbeck, Nathan Davenport, and Remington Davenport. She is the one and only “GeeGee,” who adored her grandchildren, as they did her.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Sandra enjoyed spending her days gardening, sewing, and with her animals. During the springtime, Sandra would nurture her garden and you could see her dedication blossom. She loved to sew and be crafty; her talent was like no other. Sandra and Henry cared for many animals throughout their lifetime together. Her German Shepherd dogs were her most beloved pets.
Sandra continues to live on through all of the memories that she created with her loved ones. Her warm smile, her comforting hugs, her silly teasing, and her kind heart will never be forgotten. Her love for her family, above all else, will live on forever in their hearts.
A graveside service, a celebration of Sandra's life will be held at Acushnet Cemetery, 91 Main Street, Acushnet, Ma 02743 to which relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. November 12, 2016 at 10:00am. Her burial will be at a later date.
