Sharon Brewster (Lackey) Johnson 77, passed away peacefully at her home in New Bedford on Monday evening, August 20, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Joseph Michael Johnson.
Born in Mont Claire New Jersey she was the daughter of the late Russel Lackey and Jane (Whitly) Lackey. Sharon is survived by her children, a son; David Paul Hutchingson of Fl. and three daughters; Lori Gonsalves and her husband Gilbert of Rochester, Karla Lynn and her husband Craig of Taunton and Kirsten J. Keough and her husband Robert of Acushnet. Sharon also leaves behind her siblings, her two brothers; Bruce Lackey of CA and Alan Lackey and his wife Gloria of NJ. Sharon was the proud grandmother of her five grandchildren and her two great grandchildren.
Sharon worked her whole life as a homemaker, and she was a talented Artist. She taught Vocation Bible School and in her later years she enjoyed folk music. But mostly, Sharon just adored her family, her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, at the Acushnet Wesley Methodist Church.
