Obituary


It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Sheila M. Botelho, of Rochester, Ma. on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the age of 87.
Sheila was born May 31, 1935
In New Bedford Ma. to Manuel and Evangeline Xavier. Sheila married Raymond F. Botelho on May 30, 1950. They were soul mates who spent their lives traveling the world, raising their children and settling peacefully in their Rochester home. 
Sheila was a long-time parishioner of Saint Rose of Lima of Rochester, where her sweet demeanor gained her many dear friends, whom she lovingly called The Breakfast Club. She was also a generous supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital. 
Sheila was predeceased in death by her loving husband Raymond, and her grandson Elias. and is survived by her daughters, Paula Sorensen of Fairhaven, Mary Ellen Brodeur of Westport and Catherine Costa of Seekonk, as well as her sons-in-law, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her niece and nephews, brother and sister-in-law, many cousins and dear friends. 
Sheila, Mom, Nana, Gran, will especially be remembered for her gentle kindness to everyone fortunate enough to have known her. 
Family and friends will be informed of memorial services when they are arranged.
