Stacey Lynn Pollitt

Stacey Lynn Marie Pollitt, 42 of New Bedford, Ma passed away peacefully, on Saturday, December 19, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving sister Nene and her Aunie Chriss.

Born in New Bedford she was the daughter of the late Brian Pollitt and Carol Anne (Francoeur) Pollitt.

She was the mother of Dylan J. Pollitt, David Vangell, and Christian Perreira.

Stacey was predeceased by her grandparents, all 4, the Late Harry and Alice (Sullivan) Francoeur and the late Roland and Isabel Pollitt.

Stacey is survived by her siblings, Jeannine (Nene) Heron and her boyfriend Jose (Joe) Almeida of Somerset and Richard B. Pollitt of New Bedford. Stacey is also survived by her Aunie and uncle Jeff, Christine L. (Francoeur) Hatfield and her husband, Geoffrey, and two other uncles, Harry Francoeur and Joseph Francoeur both of New Bedford. Stacey also leaves behind her two nephews, Lucas Heron and Nathan Heron.

Stacey was a grab the bull by the horns and run type of girl, who told you just what the price of rice was in China, about anything. She loved  children, especially babies, and she liked baby animals, she loved the beach , shopping for clothes, shoes and jewelry and she loved to eat, especially Rice KrispeeTreats and smoking and Dunkin Donuts Coffee, "extra extra cream, extra extra sugar, extra extra caramel and extra extra mocha Ice Coffee......she basically enjoyed living life.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her wake and funeral to be held at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road, ( Rt. 18) E. Freetown, with burial in Acushnet Cemetery next to her mother, Carol. Stacey's Wake will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 12p (noon) to 2 pm with burial to follow at 3pm in Acushnet Cemetery on Main St. in Acushnet.
