Sylvia T.(Bergeron) Lord 91, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully, Tuesday January 24, 2017 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home in New Bedford.
She was the widow of the late Charles J. Lord, Sr.
Born in Uxbridge, Ma she was the daughter of the late Oscar Bergeron and Rose (Bourassa) Bergeron.
Sylvia was the loving mother of her two sons; Charles J. Lord, Jr. and his wife, Janice of New Bedford and Gregory Lord and his wife Betty Jane of Assonet. Sylvia was predeceased by six of her siblings; the late Richard Bergeron, George Bergeron, Johnny Bergeron, William Bergeron, Gloria Demers and Lorraine Johnson. She is survived by her brother Arthur Bergeron. Sylvia was also the proud grandmother of her 4 grandchildren; Adam Lord, Alan Lord, Laurie Mcguire and her furry granddog, Snoopy. She also has 5 great grandchildren.
Sylvia worked for years as a floor girl supervisor for Elco Dress. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word search. She was also known to dabble in Bingo and she liked, her scratch tickets.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd. (RT.18), E. Freetown, Ma 02717 or to attend her graveside service on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10:00 am at Pine Grove Cemetery, 1100 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, Ma 02746.
