Timothy D. Westgate

Timothy D Westgate, 83, Rochester, MA, passed away on November 23, 2025.

Tim was born in Freetown, MA, the son of the late Leon Westgate and Vivian (Cornell) Westgate. He was the brother of the late Leon Westgate, Bertha Pierce, Eleanor Guerra, Lloyd Westgate, Tom Westgate, Roger Westgate and Brian Westgate.

He lived in Freetown for much of his life before moving to Rochester in 1983. He worked for many years at Acushnet Company Rubber Division until his retirement.

Tim loved carpentry and spent much of his free time building everything from garages and additions to furniture. He was a jack-of-all trades and could build or repair just about anything. After retirement he taught himself to paint and he spent hundreds of hours painting in his workshop. His favorite hobby was bike riding, and he rode past his 83rd birthday. More than anything, Tim loved his grandchildren and often talked about how lucky he was to be a grandfather.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Beijar of Rochester, sons Christopher Beijar of Fairhaven and Jonathan Beijar of Wareham, grandchildren Cassidy Correia of New Bedford, Lucy and Eli Beijar of Fairhaven, William Beijar of Plymouth, Jerry Westgate of E Freetown, Doug Pierce of New Bedford, and many nieces and nephews.

At Tim’s wishes, funeral services will be private.
