William Patrick Crehan, 86, passed away peacefully, May 18, 2014 at the Golden Living Center - Oak Hill in Middleboro.
Born in Boston, MA he was the son of the late John Crehan and Margaret Curry, both of Ireland.
He was married to the love of his life for 57 years, Ann Francis ( Drea ) Crehan. Together they had 7 children; 4 sons; John Crehan and his wife Patricia of Billerica, Michael Crehan and his wife Lynn of Raynham, Brian Crehan and his wife Suzanne of Taunton, and Mark Crehan and his wife Colleen of Raynham and 3 daughters, Andrea Grayson of Revere, Kathleen Reifschneider and her husband Peter of Raynham and Paula Micciche and her husband Joe of Raynham. William was also predeceased by his identical twin brothers, the late Francis Crehan and Father Joseph Crehan. William was also the very proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren; Renee, Elaine, Kate, Andrew, Maura, Billy, Liam, Molly, Erin, Kaylyn, Kelsey, Maggie, Kyle and Ashley.
A United States Navy Veteran of World War II, he proudly served his Country. He retired from M.B.T.A. in 1983, then voluntered for years at the food pantry at St.Vincent DePaul's, St. Thomas Aquinas of Bridgewater, MA. William also helped with Dial a Bat and delivered Meals on Wheels. He loved to help out. He also was a true family man and was very proud of his family.
Family and friends are invited to Calling Hours at mfcs South Coast Chapel in East Freetown, MA, on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be on Friday May 23, at 11:00 am at St. Ann's Church in Raynham. Procession and Burial to follow with Military Honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, at 2:00 pm.
