Dorothy G. (Roderiques) Westgate

Dorothy G. Westgate 91, of Acushnet passed away peacefully on Saturday March 23, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Westgate, Sr.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late John Jerome Roderiques and Dorothy Irene (Rowell) Roderiques. 

Dorothy is survived by her children; Donald Westgate Jr. and his wife Gail of North Carolina, John Roland Earle Westgate and his wife Barbara of Acushnet, Evelyn Dorothy Jackson and her husband Henry of Connecticut, Donna Ann Trembly and her husband Dennis of Florida, and Bertha Amy Barker and her husband Richard of Missouri. Dorothy is survived by two of her siblings; Brenda Mary Bence and her husband Raymond of Dartmouth and Joanne Elaine Przymierski and her husband Philip of Swansea, and she was predeceased by her two other siblings; the late Julliette Irene parent and the late Evelyn Isabel Coelho. Dorothy was also the proud grandmother of her 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Dorothy worked for years as an LPN Nurse at St. Luke's Hospital. She really enjoyed helping others. She was truly a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She liked dogs, and flowers. Dorothy was very religious, and she liked all of her many crosses and crucifixes, and she was a communicate of St. Francis Xavier Church.

Services for Dorothy will be held at a later date.
