Susan B. (Silver) Irwin

Irwin, Susan Age 61, of East Freetown passed away on April 19, 2024.  She was the beloved wife “Cutie” of Robert Irwin, with whom she spent nearly 28 years.  Loving mother to Kristyn Connolly and her husband Andrew of Plymouth and Stacey DeMoranville and her wife Kayla of New Bedford.  Cherished Grandmother “Mamma” to Shayne, Jessyca, James, Robbie, and Declan.  Doting Aunt “Sue-Sue” to her nephew Michael and his boys Michael, James, and Leland.  Pre-deceased by her parents Ralph and Frances Silver of Waltham of whom she was “Daughter #3 #1”.  Also, survived by sisters, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Susan graduated from Waltham High School and attended Aquinas College and received an associate degree in medical assisting.  She loved her family and wanted to spend as much time with them as possible.  She especially loved earning the title “Mamma”; her grandchildren were the lights of her life.  She loved being a home maker and spent many days in “Cutie’s Kitchen” with her grandson Robbie preparing meals.  In the summertime she loved gardening and watching all the sunsets over the pond where she and her husband called home these many years.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, April 26, at 10 a.m., in the South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd, East Freetown. Private Burial to follow in Assonet Burial Ground.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Calling Hours, Thursday, April 25, from 4-8 p.m. in the Southcoast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd, (Rt.18) East Freetown, Ma 02717
